President's Schedule: Wednesday, April 21

President Obama wants a Senate vote by August on his nominee for the Supreme Court vacancy left by the retirement of Justice John Paul Stevens. But who should that nominee be? He'll get some input today from bipartisan leaders of the Senate and the Judiciary Committee. Expected to attend: Majority Leader Harry Reid, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, and the ranking Republican on the committee, Jeff Sessions.

In the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will have lunch in the Private Dining Room. The President then attends a reception for G-20 labor ministers in the Diplomatic Reception Room.

The President and Mrs. Obama with the White House Office on Olympic, Paralympic and Youth Sport, will host members of the United States Olympic and Paralympic teams on the South Portico. The President and First Lady will congratulate Olympians and Paralympians on their performance and thank them for representing the United States during the Vancouver Winter Games. They will also discuss the First Lady’s Let’s Move! campaign to solve the childhood obesity epidemic within a generation. The Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will also attend.

Last on Obama;s schedule today are meetings with Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and a meeting with Secretary Geithner and Secretary Sebelius.
