President's Schedule: Tuesday, April 27

President Obama begins his day with a meeting of his deficit reduction commission (formally known as the "National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform;") afterwards he'll deliver remarks in the Rose Garden.

Then it's wheels up for the heartland, in the latest installment of Obama's White House to Main Street tour. First stop: the Siemens Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing Plant in Fort Madison, Iowa. The President will then speak with workers and share his views on growing the economy and putting Americans back to work.

The President will later tour a local business in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and hold a town hall meeting at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. He'll spend the night in Des Moines.

Speaking of the deficit commission, it holds its first formal meeting at the White House Conference Center where they will hear remarks from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, OMB Director Peter Orszag, and Former OMB Directors Robert Reischauer and Rudolph Penner.
